Dear you, I hope you.

I like you. I adore you. I love you. I hate the word, but it is the only one left. I love you. It is killing me. It is keeping me alive. I like you. I love you. I hope you. Listening to your heart is a tough task, I apologize for making you read…

The Fall of Sumer: Lamentations and Ruins.

When the Sumerians reached Iraq’s southern coast for the first time around 5500 BCE, the last of the Wooly Mammoths were fighting for their survival on the other side of the world. They had made Wrangel Island their home and fought to endure, just as the Sumerians were sowing the seeds of the first civilization…

Sumer rises again: The Guti Dark Age and neo-Sumerian Renaissance.

For the following hundred and fifty years, the Guti ruled Mesopotamia in misery; it can be called a dark age. There is little written record or art from this time, and the ones found are unsophisticated. The Guti showed little concern for maintaining agriculture, written records, or public safety.

Sargon of Akkad: Akkadians finally have their seat in power of Mesopotamia.

One man would soon lead them to outright rebellion against Sumerian Empire. He would go down history as Sargon, which in Akkadian means “one true king”. He would usher in the twilight of the Sumerian age.

Ur and Lagash: A new age of Trade and warfare

Another Sumerian city, Ur gradually replaced Uruk as the center of Mesopotamia in the first centuries of the next millennium. It would flourish into realms of untold wealth pushing the boundaries of what humanity thought was possible.
